University Attorney
Mary de Ranitz joined The University of Arizona in February 2007. Prior to joining the University, Ms. de Ranitz practiced primarily as in-house corporate counsel in the areas of health and mental health law, privacy, risk management, contracts, and general corporate business. As a University Attorney, Ms. de Ranitz provides legal advice and representation emphasizing a broad array of matters related to the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Public Health, including research, compliance, contracts, risk management and privacy issues.
Ms. de Ranitz is licensed to practice law in the states of Arizona and Minnesota. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Ms. de Ranitz graduated from The University of Arizona College of Law (J.D., 1996), The University of Arizona Eller College of Management (M.B.A., 1995); and Winona State University, Minnesota (B.S., 1986).
